Haul Truck Operator (Multiple Opportunities)

Location: Woodstock & Guelph Area

Established in 1988, our company has grown to be a leader in Heavy Equipment rentals and leasing across Southern Ontario. We’re continuing to grow and are looking for experienced Haul Truck Drivers to support our operations on sites near Woodstock and Guelph. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Haul Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of their vehicles in a variety of tasks such as; bulk dirt movement, loading, sloping and shaping
  • Drivers will work closely with experienced team members operating Excavators, Front-end Loaders, Bulldozers, Graders and Compactors 
  • Drivers will conform to new safety and task-specific protocols as they are implemented
  • Drivers are responsible for daily equipment logs, and periodic safety and service checks
  • Keep site Supervisors informed of resource requirements and equipment deficiencies
  • Drivers must clean, grease, and secure equipment after use
  • Perform various related duties as they arise
  • Priority will be given to applicants who are available for night shift
  • Overtime available during the week, and on weekends

Qualifications & Experience

  • Secondary School education and/or experience in heavy equipment operation
  • Minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment experience required
  • Understanding of bulk dirt movement in Civil Construction, and Quarry settings
  • Experience performing road work, excavation work, lifting work, as required
  • Basic understanding of engineered drawings, charts, diagrams, maps and surveys
  • Have the physical ability to work in a strenuous and dangerous work environment
  • Experience on CAT controls is preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle are a firm requirement for this role
